"Palmera,

Palmera,

al fondo de la Caldera.

Te miento cuando yo quiera.

Te quiero cuando yo quiera."

La Palma is a series of 35mm film photographs taken in the north-westernmost of the Canary Islands over the course of three weeks, mainly spent playing guitar and writing songs in the December-January sun. The slow passing of time and biodiverse landscape bring character to this relatively remote destination, known as the world’s steepest island. Some of the film rolls were manipulated in red wine before exposure, while others were long past their expiry date — this process added another carefree element to the laidback nature of the trip.
